Somboon Weerawutiwong

56 years old, Tax and Legal Consultant, SY meditation practitioner for 27 years, since the year 1995.

Since I started practising Sahaja Yoga meditation, many good things have happened to me, which i can summarize in three broad benefits:

First, for myself and for personal gain, as I rarely meditated before. Whenever I used to meditate, I would always fall asleep. Now, when I meditate, I feel very peaceful, I feel peace. That is the main direct and tangible benefit i have gained, in terms of self-development and without even realizing it.

Second, in terms of family matters. I have seen the benefits for my children as well; I can see they are living in harmony, solidarity and are very supportive of one another. Children are even more focused than we are, and i am impressed that our children sit and meditate by themselves. I feel that it is something that also binds our family together.

Third and another major benefit relates to the world of work. Because of work, we have to concentrate a lot and it can get very stressful every day. Every morning when you wake up, you meditate first, as if to invigorate ourselves before facing stressful situations...

Meditation helps us a lot. Because when we encounter any problem, we will remain alert and not get in trouble, knowing how to step away from it. Maybe being silent by meditating on the problem, the solution will present itself. I never expected such benefits and never thought of those beforehand...
